The Namibe Multipurpose Pavilion was part of the Public Works program by the Government of the Angolan Republic, created so that the country would have the latest sports infrastructures to hold the 41st Roller Hockey World Championship, which took place in Angola on September 20 to 28, 2013.

It was opened on September 6, 2013, by the State Minister and Head of the Civil House, Edeltrude Maurício Fernandes Gaspar da Costa, and it was named "Welwitschia Mirabilis".

The sports infrastructure, holding 3000 people, is equipped to host national and international sports events of roller hockey, basketball, volleyball, handball and indoor soccer.

O FELIZ ANGOLA has created the entire metallic structure covering the field and the general public stand, composed of main trellises of 57 m long and 3 m high, the steel structure of the private cabins, the VIP area and the presidential cabin.

We were also in charge of all the outer metallic lining, namely the polyurethane panel façades, ventilated façades in aluminium blades and the lining of the roofs in a PVC membrane deck system.

The highlights in this project are its Execution Class, EXC3 according to EN 1090, and the innovative construction techniques used in this high capacity sports infrastructure, following the most demanding current sports and structural regulatory requirements.
